The case entered the public record through PURSUE Release 03 in June 2026, complete with AARO summary language, witness sketches and department artistic interpretations — not raw proof of craft.
What's There
AARO's summary, as reported from the released files, describes luminous orange mother orbs that appeared briefly, released clusters of two to four smaller red orbs, then vanished. The red objects were called anomalous: coordinated horizontal motion, altitude changes, and long silent loitering, including one report of a ridgeline hover lasting hours.
Witness detail in forensic sketches includes a brilliant red sphere about one metre across with a bright white centre likened to a plasma sun. Investigators noted the agents collected no contemporaneous video, photos or instrument logs during the key event — testimony and sketches carry the case.

The History
AARO compared accounts against flight logs, radar and ADS-B where available. Analysts treated military flare dispensing as a plausible partial explanation aligned with some known US systems, rated foreign intelligence activity highly unlikely, and still left roughly 40% of the reported activity without a full accounting.
The files group related western incidents under labels such as Orbs Launching Orbs, Fiery Orb, Dark Kite and Translucent Kite. Separately, a February 2022 Cheyenne Mountain report by Army personnel describes a large shimmering potato-shaped object; AARO floated low-confidence sunlight-on-snow/cloud geometry for that one.
The Mystery
The archive does not hand the public a recovered device. It hands a rarer document trail: federal witnesses, an official anomaly office willing to say sufficiently anomalous to warrant continued investigation, and an explicit reminder that unresolved is not extraterrestrial.
