Ancient Echoes

In 1992, a Chinese nuclear test sent seismic waves through the Earth. It was meant to measure tectonic responses, but the US picked up something strange. A signature echo from Alaska. something huge, geometric, buried. The story remained classified until a television report in the late '90s mentioned a mysterious pyramid underground. The segment never aired again. Tapes went missing. The anchor disappeared. Whistleblowers have since come forward. Former military technicians, engineers, all describing the same thing. A pitch black pyramid larger than Giza, surrounded by electromagnetic anomalies. It wasn't just underground. It was active. Power levels we didn't understand. Compasses fail near the site. Birds avoid the region and no public flights are allowed overhead. But satellite imagery from before 2003 showed an unnatural clearing. After that, blacked out. A triangular shadow is faintly visible in one. In the next nothing restricted airspace at locals report strange lights a low harm at night and sometimes men in unmarked gear showing up to ask questions. If it's not real, thus why are so many people warned not to look for it? And if it is real, who built it? And why is it still on?
