The Control Loop
The Control Loop — an exploration from JitterSnap's Hidden Constructs collection.
The Signal
The system doesn't just control you, it trains you to control yourself.. This is the control loop, a feedback circuit of beliefs, behavior and boundaries, self-reinforcing, self-sustaining, self-policed, super, the perfect prison is the one where the prisoners police each other..
The Discovery
Michel Foucault, adapted... On screen, text, quote, attribution on screen... It begins with fear, a rejection of punishment of being wrong so you can form, then comes the reward, praise, security, belonging so you repeat... Eventually the system doesn't need to enforce anything, you'll do it for them, you'll correct your own speech, shame your own thoughts, censor your own curiosity... Because the loop is elegant, every belief you adopt feeds the next behavior, every behavior reinforces the belief, thought to action, action to validation and back to thought..
The Unfolding
And the tighter the loop gets, the less you remember who built it... When becomes politics, politics becomes identity, identity becomes surveillance, surveillance becomes safety, all connected by the same looping code... You become the product, the enforcer, the recruiter... But here's the secret, every loop has a weak point, it's the moment you pause before the next repetition... That's where awakening begins, not in revolution, but in disruption... So ask yourself, when did you last do something unapproved?.
The Question
The loop only lives if you keep spinning,.
