The Gods Came from the Sky
The Gods Came from the Sky — an exploration from JitterSnap's Myths Rewired collection.
The Signal
They came in fire in thunder in light.. They descended from the stars, shaped the world and were remembered as gods, but were they divine or just advanced..
Ancient Echoes
Across every culture they appear, from the Anunaki of Sumer to the sky beings of the Dogon, the star visitors of the Hopi, the Viracochas of the Andes, the shining ones of Egypt... These beings weren't just worshipped, they taught, math, agriculture, language, structure, and when they left, they were expected to return... Many of their names translate to the same thing... Those who came from the sky, those who walked between worlds, those who ceded life..
The Unfolding
In Sumerian tablets, the Anunaki are said to have descended from the heavens, not spiritually but physically, on burning chariots... The book of Enic tells of watchers who descended on Mount Hermann, they interbred, they interfered, they shared knowledge, until the balance was broken... From South America, Virakota emerged from the sea after a great cataclysm... He rebuilt civilization, then vanished, promising to return from the stars... Are these just stories or fragmented memories of contact?.. Many temples, Giza, Tiotuwakan, and Kaurwat, are aligned not to earth but to space, to Orion, to Sirius, to the Pleiadis..
The Question
So maybe the gods weren't gods at all, maybe they were travelers, technicians, gardeners, and earth, just one node in a much older network.
