The Unfolding

The carbon dating, wrong, the stone said to be older than 12,000 years, the tools that made it, unknown... But the most disturbing discovery, the body, wrapped in a linen that didn't match any Egyptian weave, and DNA that registered as non-local, a faint figure inside, three fingers, elongated skull, teeth too perfect... When a second team tried to open the inner chamber, instruments stopped working, batteries drained, one researcher collapsed, describing visions of a past that wasn't hers, the lights blow out...
